Cannot rate Peter highly enough through a review. Studio is full of high tech equipment. Vocal microphones are of the highest quality available. Had my work done going in but with Peters experience and musical ability he really got the best out of me and my songs. Very comfortable setting and was made feel so relaxed all day. Look forward to more days at the Dream Loft in the future and am very excited for the finishing work to be done. As I live in Germany , Peter makes it possible for me to work remotely on my recordings and has a bank of musicians ready to put down all the layers I require for the finished article.

Booked 3 days worth of sessions with Pete to record vocals for my first album. My confidence while singing waivered due to personal hangups but Pete was always so patient and passionate, he consistently inspired me and he honestly couldn’t have done more to help me feel at ease.
He kindly organised lodgings for me too for a couple nights which were in a beautiful space, not to mention secure and clean.
Pete is a genuine person with a wonderful, professional manner and a lot of know-how. I’m very excited to work with him on further projects as he gives 110% to all that he does. Go to the Dreams Loft if you’ve got a musical dream you want to bring to life

I had been sitting on a few songs I wrote more than a decade ago. I do not play any instrument myself but had the complete melody and lyrics. When I randomly met Pete at a social event and he told me is a music producer, I asked if he could help me with the missing music to my songs. Without any hesitation he said, Yes! He helped me to work through my fears and self-doubt I had to embark on a scary journey like this and I ended up booking 2 full day’s session with an overnight stay and I am over the moon with the results we have accomplished. I am impressed by how little words Pete needs to sense and capture what I wanted without the need to change my inputs but only improving and enhancing them with his gifted creativity and sensitivity. He took the time to genuinely understand the background and emotional setting of the songs which inspired him to translate the essence of the story of the song into the perfect tunes. Pete is a knowledgeable professional and creative musician. Sessions at the Dreams Loft are fun, transformative and therapeutical. I highly recommend the Dreams Loft for musical engineering expertise. Thanks so much, Pete, for your understanding, patience and putting up with my oddities😊. I can´t wait for the final mix and release; the end result is even better than I ever could have imagined. A dream come true!

Great service from Pete Duffy so patient and direct and caring at the same time. Done a phone consultation with him for songwriting. Was brilliant. I hope I can do an album with his at some stage in the future. Great guy too. Would definitely recommend him to people who are looking for a music producer.

Met Pete for the first time today .Went to him as has always been my dream ❤ to write my own song .Did totally not know what to expect .The Dreams Loft us a home away from home. I’ve worked with Pete at the Dreams Loft on many projects remotely for release across a range of styles and have always found the results to be excellent. The Dreams Loft has a great range of mics, equipment and software which allows them to get the best results for recordings and mixing. Pete also has great skills when working with song arrangements, structures and instrumentation to get the best out of any track. Highly recommended!

During the last lockdown my adventure with The Dreams Loft began. Due to the lack of mobility, everything that we created together with Pete took place online. We created 2 songs together – we even managed to record one and mix it on the go! Pete is a great music producer and multi-instrumentalist – which allows him to create any melodies you want 🙂 Pete can listen to you and your needs, which allows him to transfer your ideas into something real. For many of us, going to a recording studio can be an intimidating experience. Pete helps all kinds of musicians but specializes in those who may not know the ropes, or who’ve always wanted to do music but never did. He makes everyone feel so comfortable and competent, no matter what level they are. The studio has a laid-back, homey vibe but is equipped with everything you need for a session. And Pete does everything – helps with songwriting, records, mixes and even just provides inspiration. Pete is a treasure and after producing 17 songs together I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Pete is fantastic, he really knows how to bring a song to life. As a first timer I was a little nervous and not sure what to expect but the comfortable atmosphere of the dream loft made it a pleasure to record in..the great coffee and banter is also a bonus!

We recently made a recording at The Dreams Loft as a Christmas present for my husband.
My daughter (12)recorded 3 songs, and 3 instrumental harp pieces. She loved the experience. Nervous in the beginning, Pete with his easy , patient way had her relaxed and enjoying the performance.
The recording was fantastic, my husband loved his very unique gift . Dreams Loft provide an excellent and professional service, l highly recommend the studio.

Last Saturday I went to the dreams loft recording studio with my brother (he brought me as a birthday present and wanted to come and see the process). After meeting Pete in unlikely circumstances he told me about his studio, He was very clear and honest about his process and what he could offer, and by the end of our conversation I knew he was the one to go to.
it was my first ever time going to a studio so I was quite nervous.
But fortunately for me, through ever step of the way Pete was more than helpful and understanding with any and all questions and concerns I had about the day ahead, even going as far to pick me and my brother up from the bus stop and bring us to the studio.
From as soon as we walked into the studio to when we left it was nothing but great fun and great energy, we were there for 8 hours yet it didn’t even feel like 2
If you’re having any second thoughts of going to the dreams loft you can rest assured you get your moneys worth to the last minute.

Our thanks to Pete from “Fill the Tankard”, a four piece folk band from Richmond in North Yorkshire. Pete undertook a recording session with band in early July using his mobile recording and mixing equipment. His patience, tact and technical skills brought out the best in our music. I went to Pete with a song which was my 1st attempt at using GarageBand. I had somehow managed to get a few of the tracks stuck on one side of the stereo, upannable and with various electrical glitches apparent on the recording. Pete dealt with these issues in no time at all leaving us free to concentrate on the creative aspect of bringing out the best in the song.
I had a keyboard bass on the demo so Pete used a contact of his, Pedro Arruda, to put down 3 bass takes, one followed my line, the 2nd was slightly funkier and on the 3rd he really jammed out.
We made a composite of the 3 which took very little time and
musically brought out and complimented several different aspects of the song. Pete’s technical knowledge and his own musical curiosity made this a very easy process.
He also replaced my GarageBand organ part by playing a Hammond sampled part himself.
My vocal parts hadn’t been well recorded, slightly muddy and distorted, somehow he cleaned them up and put them way up front of the mix, just how I wanted, this combined with the blended bass part put a whole new atmosphere on the song in a very positive way.
The mix came out brilliantly, better than I expected, working with Pete was a pleasure, his technical knowledge combined with the ability to grab an idea and run with it, see if it works and if not try something else are invaluable tools for exploiting songs and ideas to their maximum potential.

Called to Peter not knowing what to expect with a song I wrote for xmas and didn’t know what way I wanted it to go but wowww was I blown away with how he worked his magic with it. His detail to how he makes the song fall into place is amazing and communication with him is brilliant over the process of the song. This industry is so tough to meander and almost impossible to master and is unrelenting in its ability to side track an artist and obfuscate the goals we set……people like Pete at The Dreams Loft are there to guide,advise and delivery when the project appears insurmountable and arduous.

Great to be able to do an online, remote session with Pete. He really listens and takes in the vibe of the song you’re working on to build a world around it, and doesn’t have any problem doing this from afar. Fantastic to hear the finished (is it ever finished?) product!
